Testosterone is responsible for male characteristics such as body hair, a deeper voice, and, of course, more developed and powerful muscles. On the other hand, testosterone also has a slimming effect since it activates the metabolism, increases the release of fats from adipocytes (cells in adipose tissue specialized in storing fat; these cells contain the body's lipid reserves), and inhibits the body's storage of lipids.

Testosterone has very strong anabolic effects; athletes use testosterone esters which allow them to achieve rapid and vigorous muscle mass growth.

Testosterone enanthate is one of the most commonly used forms of long-acting testosterone. Its duration of activity in the body is 2 to 3 weeks, so a single 250 mg injection per week is generally sufficient to maintain high testosterone levels. However, it should be noted that in practice, the average dose used is 500 mg per week.
