Cytomel is a synthetic thyroid hormone that exists only in tablet form. It is one of the most powerful thyroid hormones. and its properties are highly anabolic.

There are two types of synthetic thyroid hormones: L-T4 and L-T3, such as Cytomel. Cytomel is by far the more potent of the two. Those who have tried it report that the results obtained with Cytomel are four to five times greater than those achieved with L-T4. Cytomel's mechanism of action is as follows: it increases protein synthesis, thus producing muscle mass gains. Furthermore, Cytomel is an excellent fat burner: it accelerates carbohydrate utilization and fat burning by increasing RNA (Ribonucleic Acid) production through a rise in basal metabolic rate. This property allows bodybuilders to use Cytomel during competition preparation periods to achieve more defined, striated musculature. Bodybuilders should start with a low dose and then increase it slowly. Experienced users typically begin with 25 mcg per day, then increase by 25 mcg every 5 or 6 days, up to a maximum of 100 mcg per day, taken in four doses throughout the day. It is then important to gradually reduce the dose towards the end of the cycle to avoid abrupt discontinuation. A Cytomel cycle should not exceed 5 weeks. Before starting a new Cytomel cycle, at least 8 weeks should pass to allow the thyroid to return to normal function.
