Functions and traits of Vardenafil

As a PED5 inhibitor, Vardenafil works by relaxing muscles and forcing more blood into the penis to achieve or maintain an erection. ED can be defined as the inability to achieve or maintain an erection, or in some cases, the inability to achieve or maintain a full and firm erection.

The ED drug Vardenafil, like all similar PED5 inhibitors, works by binding nitric oxide to guanylate cyclase receptors, thereby increasing cGMP levels. This creates gentle muscle relaxation and a pathway for increased blood flow.

While Vardenafil is very similar to Viagra and Cialis, it is more closely related to Viagra, with the only difference being the position of a nitrogen atom and the addition of an ethyl group instead of a methyl group. This slight alteration gives Vardenafil a slightly longer active half-life than Viagra, but still a much shorter one than Cialis.

Effects of Vardenafil

The effects of Vardenafil are very simple: to remedy erectile dysfunction in men who have a problem with blood flow. Vardenafil will not remedy a libido problem. If libido is the issue, the individual may need to have their hormone levels checked. If the problem is blood flow and not hormone-related, sexual stimulation is still necessary for the medication to work, but assuming stimulation is present, the blood flow problem should be resolved in most cases. Some data has also suggested that Vardenafil may also help prevent premature ejaculation. Some data has also suggested that penile rigidity is greater with Vardenafil than with Viagra; however, the data shows that this tends to be more individual than anything else.
