TELMIMED 40 (Telmisartan) is a non-peptide antihypertensive agent of the ARA type, indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension.
Telmisartan is used to treat essential hypertension. The term "essential" means that the hypertension is not due to any other cause.
Telmisartan is also used to reduce cardiovascular events in adults who are at risk because their blood supply to the heart or legs is reduced or blocked, or because they have had a stroke, or because they are at high risk of diabetes.
