Bacteriostatic water for injection peptides and growth hormone. Non-pyrogenic sterile water containing 0,9% benzyl alcohol, which is added as a bacteriostatic preservative. Unlike ordinary sterile water, bacteriostatic can keep the dissolved peptide stable for a long time.

The container can be reinserted several times (most often with a sterile needle) and benzyl alcohol inhibits or stops the growth of most potentially contaminating bacteria.
